Gary Johnson had no doubts over Ishmael Miller taking Yeovil Town’s penalty against Bolton even though his miss against Leeds was still fresh in the memory. The Nottingham Forest loan striker confidently strode to the spot when Kevin Dawson was upended by Alex Baptiste on 81 minutes.

Dougie Freedman revealed how a half-time rocket in the dressing room helped Wanderers return to something like their true selves at Yeovil. After unleashing a verbal volley at the break, with his side 2-0 down and having put in a performance which lacked energy, real effort and quality, goals from Lukas Jutkiewicz and Zat Knight eventually rescued a point.

The open away end, the rickety stands, even the makeshift car park told Wanderers they weren’t in Kansas anymore. Huish Park has not changed considerably from the times when Yeovil were a juggernaut in the non leagues and regarded as one of the game’s most famous giant killers.
