Town are on a run of eight matches unbeaten in Sky Bet League Two and have scored nine goals in their last two games.

Yeovil’s good form has seen them rise to sixth in the table and Way thinks the fans are now realising what his team are capable of.

“I say three things as a manager – sense it, see it, feel it,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel.

“I think certainly over the last couple of games the supporters can sense it, and they’ve seen a lot of goals and gone home with the winning feeling.

“There’s been a big turnaround and I didn’t expect everyone to jump on board straight away.

“I feel as a Yeovil Town supporter, this is an amazing football club that has so much going for it.

“I want to do everything I can to make sure they’re getting good value for money and they’re getting entertainment.

“The last three games they’ve definitely had that and that should make any supporter feel proud to see where we are now but I know we have to keep that going.

He added: “The players have played together regularly on a week-to-week basis.

“To field only 19 players from the start of the season to now shows a level of consistency and for how hard they’re working, they’re only going to improve.”

The squad had received a fair amount of flak for not scoring enough earlier on in the campaign, but they have shown their capabilities recently.

Way wasn’t worried by the lack of goals and insists he could sense they were coming.

“I explained to the players it was only a matter of time,” he said.

“Against Colchester we should have been three or four nil up at half-time. We had three or four go across the box that didn’t go in but against Crawley, it was a different scenario where every touch we had we looked confident, positive and we put the ball in the back in the net.

“We’ve seen a massive improvement in the final third. Sometimes there needs to be a level of criticism because the players have certainly responded to it.

“It’s going well at the moment but it’s so important this group don’t get complacent.

“They’re still a young squad who are enthusiastic and my job is to make sure that doesn’t happen."
