Audrey Dyson, who’s 91 years old and blind, has missed only a handful of fixtures at home since 1998, holding a season ticket for almost two decades.

Attending matches with her son Nigel and listening to blind commentary of the games, Audrey has previously explained the feeling when Yeovil score as ‘tickling her all the way inside’ and being ‘so exciting’. 

For Way, he used Audrey’s support as inspiration for the performance against the Robins. 

"I took the players to sit in the back of the stand," he said. "I’ve been here for 16 years and have never actually sat there.

"I’ve started going around the ground to see what supporters are seeing. I think they took that on board.

"There’s a lady who sits over there who’s 91 years of age. Her name’s Audrey. I said ‘lads do me a favour today, when she comes to the game every time we score it tickles her. So let’s do our best today to see how many goals we can score.’

"I’m hoping Audrey’s a happy lady."
