Town go into Saturday’s match at Accrington Stanley (3pm kick-off) off the back of a six-match unbeaten run in Sky Bet League Two.

The squad have had a full week to prepare for the trip to Lancashire after Tuesday’s postponed fixture against Crawley Town, and Way is delighted with how his players have trained.

“We’ve seen a group of players committed to their day job,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel.

“The energy they’re bringing to the football club on a day-to-day basis, certainly this week, makes me smile.

“Every individual coming into the work place is giving everything they’ve got and expectations are high.

“We haven’t lost in six games now, we’ve had nine clean sheets which is a big thing and you can see a real confidence within the group.”

He continued: “By being positive around the place, they can achieve anything.

“I’m not saying staying positive all the time is going to guarantee us success, but by being negative it definitely isn’t.

“The players are in good form and certainly over the last six games we must be in the top three or four (of the form table).

“They have got an unbelievable work ethic and they are very committed to their job. Being a manage, that’s all you can ask for.”
