Town’s 1-1 draw with Stevenage seven days ago saw Boro drop outside the top seven, with Saturday’s opponents Colchester United sitting just one point outside the play-offs.

The U’s need to win their encounter with the Glovers to keep their play-off hopes alive, whilst the Green and Whites are looking to end the season on a high.

Speaking to YTFC’s official YouTube channel, Way is hoping to inflict another disappointing afternoon on a team chasing a top seven finish.

“We were up against a Stevenage team that were looking to stay in the play-offs, and we got the result that we did.

“We knew that game wasn’t going to be easy and now we’ve got exactly the same with Colchester. I’ve got to make sure these players finish the season strong.

“When you look at fans, scouts, managers, agents, they’ll remember this last game so I need to make sure that the last game is a memorable one.”

Town travel to the Weston Homes Community Stadium looking to improve on what is already their best points tally for the last four seasons, with Way expecting another entertaining affair.

“It’s a tough game,” he said. “Even the game against Stevenage, in large spells it was end-to-end. I expect the same on Saturday.”

Tickets for the match are available on the day in Colchester. Full matchday prices can be found here.
