The top three has been settled with Doncaster Rovers, Plymouth Argyle and Portsmouth securing promotion to League One.

The three sides will continue to battle it out for the title following Donny’s loss to Wycombe Wanderers on the weekend.

There is a real battle for the play-offs with any side from eighth to 14th able to make the top seven.

No one has confirmed their place as of yet but fourth-placed Luton Town would need a dramatic turn of events for them to miss out.

At the bottom, Town are six points clear of the relegation zone and are eight goals better off than Hartlepool United.

The North East outfit slipped into the drop zone following defeat to Barnet, prompting the sacking of Dave Jones.

They replaced Newport County in bottom two who continued their excellent form with their fourth 1-0 win of the month against Accrington Stanley.

Cheltenham Town remain in the battle but have a four point cushion over Hartlepool – however, the two teams meet this weekend.

Leyton Orient will finish bottom of the pile.

In the Vanarama National League, Lincoln City sealed their return to EFL after a six-year absence.

The Imps beat Macclesfield Town to clinch the title.

Tranmere Rovers, Forest Green Rovers and Dagenham & Redbridge will compete in the play-offs with one of Aldershot, Dover and Barrow joining them.

In League One, Swindon Town were relegated and will join Coventry City and Chesterfield in the division lower.

Port Vale currently sit fourth from bottom but will need to win both of their games left and hope Gillingham and Bury lose their final match to secure safety.
