Town supporters can boost their club’s survival battle by filling Huish Park with green and white on Saturday, according to manager Gary Johnson.

The Glovers entertain Doncaster Rovers in the Sky Bet Championship, with the hosts aiming to close the gap to safety.

Boss Johnson has backed the Western Gazette’s campaign to turn the stadium into a sea of green and white this weekend, believing it can both aid his team and intimidate the visitors.

Supporters are being asked to attend decked top-to-toe in club colours to boost the atmosphere.

The Western Gazette want to hear from you if you think are the Glovers’ biggest fan. Tell us about your match day outfit, routine and superstitions by e-mailing newsdesk@westgaz.co.uk, including your pictures and YTFC Green Day as the subject. The most impressive will win tickets to a Yeovil home game.

Johnson said: “It always makes a massive difference because it puts people in a party mood as soon as they dress up for the occasion.

“It’s certainly great for the home side because a partisan support is always positive and it’s a fantastic idea.

“For the opposition it gives them the sense that they’re in somebody else’s home and that’s always good because you want to try and make them feel uncomfortable if you can. It’s a great idea and is something that always helps.

“The Doncaster game is a great one to have it on. We can pull them back towards us, but it’s more for us to get a win on the day and see where we are later on.

“There are 16 games left and there are a lot of points to play for. In our little group at the bottom of the league we’re all picking up points here and there and there are still people below us in the form table.

“We’ve got to get this elusive win and then the more elusive win after the second one.”
