The alliance of organisations are offering local singers, dance and sporting organisations a five-minute slot during halftime at selected YTFC home games to bring their talent to a far wider audience.

The first such opportunity will be at half-time during the game this Saturday (18th November) when popular local singer Flic Keirle (pictured) will entertain the Glovers faithful and visiting fans from Swindon.

Commenting, Chairman of YTFC John Fry said: “This is not only a great partnership working between the Western Gazette, Octagon and ourselves, but also offers local acts the chance to showcase their talents at Huish Park”.

Acts and persons interested in this opportunity at future games should contact the Octagon via octagontheatre@SouthSomerset.gov.uk.

Acts taking part need to keep in mind the five-minute time limit that applies, the exterior location and that possible restrictions may apply to protect the pitch from damage.

One radio microphone linked into the stadium PA system is available for use and advanced rehearsal slots in days ahead of the games are possible. All activity is subject to clearance by the YTFC groundsman.
