The Bradford loanee was at Huish Park last weekend to watch a dominant Yeovil run out 2-0 winners against a then unbeaten Stevenage.

The 22-year old became Town’s 11th summer signing when he joined from the Bantams earlier this week on a loan deal until January.

Talking to iFollow Glovers, the forward is impressed with what he has seen so far.

“Saturday was excellent I was actually getting goosebumps watching it, I could see myself in a team like that.

“From start to finish you could actually see the togetherness in the squad, it was a great game to watch.

“I know my strongest attributes and watching that game I could see how and what I could bring to Yeovil Town, it was exciting for me to see that.”

Patrick was on the bench here last season when Bradford visited in the third round of the Emirates FA cup and lost 2-0.

Remembering that fixture from last season, he was already aware of the quality Yeovil had.

“I remember sitting on the bench last season thinking ‘these lot are very good’. Some people take coming to a League Two side for granted but they took the game to us from the off.

“The passion from the gaffer and from the players and the togetherness that they have was exactly what I remembered, that’s why I’m so excited to come.

“All the lads and the staff are very welcoming, it seems like a very hungry place to be so I can’t wait to get started.”

Town will be taking a trip up north to Grimsby on Saturday looking to extend their unbeaten run further.

Now eligible to play in that fixture, Patrick is keen to keep the good form going.

“I can’t see the form crumbling just because of the way everyone is, I don’t think the gaffer would stand for it, he loves the energy in the changing room so that will always be there.

“We’ve looked at how we can hurt Grimsby rather than how they can hurt us, we’ve looked at our strengths because with all our strengths we can hurt any team in this league.

“It’s frightening to see the ability we have, even on the training ground. We’re going to look to exploit our strengths on Saturday and hopefully come back here with three points.”
