Heading towards defeat at the County Ground, Adel Gafaiti popped up with his first senior goal to rescue a vital point for the Glovers.

Ending a run of five straight defeats, the green and whites now face a Crawley side who have slumped towards the relegation zone after collecting one point from the last five matches, losing four on the bounce.

Having more than matched a Robins side still gunning to make the play-offs, Marmon is looking for more of the same against the Reds.

“We should concentrate on the five games we’ve got left and three of those are at home. If you can get a result like we did at Swindon and the players don’t get a push from that, then I don’t know what the player requires.

“The boys knew the quality of Swindon and they counteracted that really well in the second half. It doesn’t matter how Crawley play at the weekend, we have to get a win.

“I don’t think they (Crawley) have been treading this deep water of a relegation battle and haven’t really been involved in it.

Now ready to return to Somerset, Town will be hoping for more vocal support from the home faithful.

A third biggest crowd of the campaign back the Glovers a fortnight ago with Town’s boss hoping for more of the same.

“First of all, the support we had at Swindon I was totally surprised, he said. “I didn’t think there’d be so many on the road, and the after match scenes were unbelievable.

“The players were elated afterwards and I feel in my first home game here against Newport, the atmosphere was very positive.

“f the supporters now take the positives from Swindon and match up what we had against Newport, I think there will be even more noise inside the ground and the players require it. We need it to stay up.”
