Yeovil Town will play their third round Emirates FA Cup clash against Carlisle United at Bloomfield Road, the home of Blackpool, on Sunday 10 January 2016 – kick off 2pm.

The Tangerines were one of a number of clubs to demonstrate that the ‘football family’ is alive and well when they offered their stadium as a possible venue for use by the Cumbrians, in the wake of the Storm Desmond floods, and positive talks involving all three clubs, the FA and the relevant police authorities have led to the finalisation of the fixture details.

Carlisle United’s club secretary Sarah McKnight said: “Blackpool were extremely positive from the moment we made first contact and arranging this fixture has been an extremely smooth process. It has also been another example of how well clubs and authorities can work together in times of need. It’s a great stadium and everyone at the club has been very receptive and accommodating with our requests. We can’t thank them enough.”

Yeovil Town’s club secretary Jean Cotton said: “After seeing the devastating floods in the Carlisle area and the damage the floods have caused at Brunton Park we are pleased to see that other football clubs are willing to help out. Here at Yeovil Town we have donated a hospitality package for Carlisle to auction. The package is worth nearly £500 and for up to ten Carlisle United fans to enjoy the game at Huish Park on Good Friday in March 2016.”
