21st April 2019

With both sides desperate for points for differing reasons, the Easter Monday fixture should provide an entertaining affair in Somerset.

The Glovers still remain two points from safety at the bottom of Sky Bet League Two whilst the U’s sit outside of the play-off spots by the same point margin.

Making the fixture at Huish Park a must-win for both sides, the green and whites will hope for a first home win since the 2nd March.

If they’re to do so, they’ll have to wait to find out the fitness of both Ryan Seager (knee) and Sessi D’Almeida (cramp) who were forced to be withdrawn at Crewe Alexandra on Good Friday.

From the 2-0 defeat in Cheshire, Adel Gafaiti will serve the first of his three-match suspension after receiving a red card that will see him play no further part in 2018/19.

Potentially providing a timely boost, Rhys Browne (hamstring) could return to the fold after narrowly missing out on the trip to Alexandra Stadium.

Head-to-head
Easter Monday will be the 27th meeting between the two sides with the Glovers looking to reduce the 13-7 head-to-head deficit.

Losing 3-1 in the reverse fixture back in October, Town will hope for a repeat of their last win over Colchester which came in 2016.

Trailing 1-0 heading into the final five minutes, strikes from Francois Zoko and Tahvon Campbell secured a memorable turnaround at Huish Park.

Officials
Peter Wright will be the man in the middle in Somerset.

It’ll be his fourth match this season involving the green and whites having last overseen the 0-0 draw at Cambridge United in December.

He’ll be assisted by Paul Graham and Christopher Wade with Dean Treleaven acting as fourth official.
