31st October 2019

Yeovil Town return to league action this Saturday (3pm) as 17/18 play-off finalists Boreham Wood visit Huish Park.

With 10 wins from the last 13 games, the Glovers come into this clash in fine form, looking to maintain the winning formula in Somerset.

Visitors Boreham Wood are winless in their previous three games, but their last victory came against Town’s promotion rivals Halifax Town at The Shay in early October.

Victory on Saturday could see Yeovil go top if results go in our favour.

Head-to-head

We meet with Boreham Wood for the first time since 1997; the most recent clash saw Town claim a 1-0 victory at home in front of 873 fans.

Yeovil Town hold a strong record against the Wood, in the five times we have met, the green and whites have won on three occasions, drew once and lost once.

The Glovers have a strong defensive record against the Wood, having only ever conceded one goal against Saturday’s visitors.

An emphatic victory for Yeovil came in November 1966 as Graham Kemp and a Jerry Gill double fired the then step-six side to a 3-0 victory.

Martin Baker

With Saturday’s game being the first home game since Martin Baker, founder of Ciderspace passed away. @_Old_Green_Eyes and @Glove_Actually have created a wonderful tribute flag, which will be at Huish Park for the the first time on Saturday – ‘Not all legends are players’.

Officials

Tom Reeves will be the man in the middle on Saturday afternoon, this will be his eighth National League match this season, showing 24 yellow cards in the previous seven. His assistants will be Andrew Genders and Robert Evans with Rob Cockle acting as fourth official.
