Forty-eight teams are in the hat, looking to gain a place in the third round where Premier League and Sky Bet Championship clubs enter the competition.

Otis Khan’s first-half penalty in the opening stage was enough for the Green and Whites to record a 1-0 win over Southend United and see off a higher division side for the 23rd time in the club’s history.

The draw will take place live on BBC 2 and BT Sport prior to the final first round tie between Chorley and Fleetwood Town.

The second round proper will then take place across the first weekend of December 1st.
