9th February 2018

Following a run of five consecutive home matches, Town head to Cheshire for just a second away trip of 2018 looking to continue their run of good form.

In their last two league outings both Grimsby and Cambridge United departed Somerset empty-handed, before Darren Way’s side booked a spot in the Checkatrade Trophy semi-final in midweek by seeing off higher league opposition in the form of Fleetwood Town.

Looking to win three league games on the bounce for the first time since October 2016, the Green & Whites head to Gresty Road with a strong squad to pick from.

Ineligible on Tuesday night, Lewis Wing and Ryan Seager come back into contention, whilst Oscar Gobern returned to the matchday squad for the clash against the Cod Army following a spell on the sideline with a hamstring injury.

Only the trio of Dan Alfei (knee), James Bailey (knee) and Bevis Mugabi (hamstring) will miss the meeting with the Railwaymen, leaving the Town boss with something of a selection headache.

The same headache will be faced by opposing manager David Artell, who’ll be searching to find the eleven capable of stopping a run of four straight defeats.

Without a league win since New Year’s Day, the Railwaymen sit three places and five points below the Glovers ahead of the weekend’s action.

Head-to-head
Town have won their last three matches against The Alex.

Olufela Olomola and Rhys Browne were on target in a 2-0 win at Huish Park back in October, whilst a Matty Dolan free-kick won the away visit to Crewe last season.

Having won eight of the 13 competitive encounters, the Glovers are bidding to record the double over Crewe for the second consecutive campaign.

Officials
The referee on Saturday will be Robert Lewis (Shropshire).

It will be the second time this season that Mr Lewis has taken charge of a game involving Yeovil, having officiated the 1-0 loss at Wolves in the Carabao Cup back in August.

He will be assisted by Richard Wild (Lancashire) and David Benton (South Yorkshire) with Chris Isherwood (Lancashire) acting as fourth official.
