7th March 2019

Cambridge United and Morecambe have both left Huish Park empty-handed in the last fortnight as the green and whites have edged away from the Sky Bet League Two relegation zone.

Following a disappointing run of form, the back-to-back wins have boosted spirits prior to the trip to take on the table toppers.

Danny Cowley’s side are unbeaten in the league since Boxing Day but are without a win at home in their last three outings.

Looking to extend the Imps’ winless run at home, Darren Way will once again have a selection headache with a virtually fully-fit squad to choose from.

Captain Omar Sowunmi returned to start last weekend after five months out with an ankle ligament injury, whilst Tom James also made a comeback following suspension.

Their returns leave just Gary Warren (hamstring) and Sessi D’Almeida (shoulder) as absentees with Gabby Rogers (calf) and Craig Alcock (knee) edging closer to returns.

Head-to-head
Friday’s encounter will be just the eighth meeting between the two sides with the Glovers looking to pick up a first win over the Imps in four attempts.

Danny Rowe netted twice in a 2-0 win for Lincoln in the reverse fixture at the end of January in a repeat scoreline of the fixture at Huish Park in 2017/18.

However, the green and whites will head to Sincil Bank with memories of last season’s 1-1 draw when Jordan Green netted in the final match of the campaign.

Officials
Scott Oldham will be the man in the middle in Lincolnshire.

His 26th game of the season, it’ll be his first involving the Glovers since overseeing the 1-1 draw at Port Vale in the Emirates FA Cup in December 2017.

On Friday he’ll be assisted by David Plowright and Robert Atkin with Graham Salisbury acting as fourth official.
