2nd November 2018

Having made the 660-mile round trip to Carlisle United last weekend Darren Way’s side returned with all three points thanks to Tom James’ 96th-minute winner.

The defender dispatched a free-kick with virtually the last kick of the match to boost town up to 12th in Sky Bet League Two, moving to four games without defeat.

Facing a second lengthy trip in quick succession the green and whites will head to Lancashire looking to reduce the six-point deficit between themselves and the play-off spots.

If they are to do so they’ll have to do it without the services of Gary Warren, Omar Sowunmi, Jordan Green, Francois Zoko, Diallang Jaiyesimi and James Bailey who all remain absent through injury.

In Morecambe, Yeovil will face a side struggling to find form in the first half of the season. In their last 10 matches Jim Bentley’s Shrimps boast just three wins, two draws and five defeats.

Going down 1-0 to Mansfield last time out at home, the hosts will look for former Glover AJ Leitch-Smith to provide their most obvious threat with four goals to his name so far in 2018/19.

Head-to-head
The Glovers will look to improve on a record which has seen just one victory in six meetings.

Matt Butcher, Alex Lacey and Bevis Mugabi were all on target in 2017 to secure a 3-1 win in Lancashire, before a dramatic meeting last season.

Jake Gray and Otis Khan put Town 2-0 up before three goals in the final 10 minutes saw Yeovil lose 4-3 despite Omar Sowunmi’s late contribution.

Officials
Peter Wright will be the man in the middle on Saturday.

His second match involving Town, he oversaw the historic 6-0 win at Newport in September, sending off County’s Robbie Willmott late on.

Mr Wright will be assisted by Mark Cunliffe and Gary Hilton with Gareth Mellor acting as fourth official.
