The Sky Blues visit Huish Park on Saturday (3pm) after suffering their first defeat of the season against Newport County last weekend.

Town have been a formidable force going forward so far this season, scoring eight goals in the first three league games and have added Millwall centre-back Sid Nelson this week to bolster their defensive options.

Way insists his squad have worked hard all week to find “the right balance between defence and attack”, and wants them to show it against Coventry.

“The response has been good in training,” he told iFollow Glovers.

“We’ve been working hard on the defensive aspect of our game.

“We know the group is resilient and we know we can get a response. At the moment we’re on three points and some of our performances going forward have been good, and this week we’ve worked very hard on being strong.”

He added: “Every team we play has different threats but as I say week-in, week-out, we have to focus on ourselves.

“We have to make sure we play with confidence when we’ve got the ball, and when we lose the ball we get back behind it and make sure we’re organised and structured.

“If we all stick together, we all strive for the same thing, which is to win football matches, then we can create a really good environment here at Huish Park like we did in the last game.”
