With just two places and two points separating the two sides coming into the Sky Bet League Two clash, the Glovers will look to stretch their lead over the U’s and get back to winning ways.

Without a win since their trip to Carlisle United, Town come up against a Cambridge side under the caretaker management of Mark Bonner who’ll be overseeing his second match from the technical area.

Losing 1-0 to Tranmere Rovers last weekend, both sides have strong motivation to pick up maximum points.

Speaking to YTFC.net, Way wants his side to focus on the task in hand and ignore any hyperbole surrounding the fixture.

“Every game has been a must win game because that’s how we prepare as a team and you want the players to have that mentality. We’ve prepared very, very well and are looking forward to the next challenge after getting unlocked by seven minutes of anxiety or whatever you want to call it last Saturday.

“To get back to winning ways you have to avoid all distractions, take no notice of any outside noise and make sure preparation is the best it can be and make sure you enjoy doing that.

“Mark Bonner used to be a player so he’ll know what’s going on in the dressing room and he’ll be trying to get a reaction. We have to focus on what we’re doing and do all we can to get the job at hand done.”

Saturday’s match will be the first for the Glovers without assistant manager Terry Skiverton who took the decision to depart on Thursday.

The first game in nine-and-a-half without the stalwart’s presence, Town’s boss commented: “Being on that frontline for nine-and-a-half years and not having break, sometimes can catch up on you.

“There’s no animosity between us and first and foremost, I’ve got my friend back. The service and loyalty Terry has given this football club is not found anymore.

“We’ve all got decisions to make in our lives and I totally respect his, but I’ll have Paul Terry with me and Steve Phillips my goalkeeper coach on Saturday.

“For years it was just me and Terry so it’s just another game this weekend.”
