The Glovers trailed to Kieran Agard’s first-half strike but leveled it up late on through Olufela Olomola’s second goal in three matches.

Lifting the green and whites into the top six, Town’s boss told iFollow Glovers he felt the game would’ve been lost last season.

“We would 100% have lost last year, I feel the players would’ve crumbled under the pressure where supporters air their frustration at giving the ball away.

“It happens up and down the country but I felt to score the goal in the way we did, showed the pressure didn’t affect the players.

“I spoke to the players and said that last year we didn’t have a mentally strong team. We would get off to good starts and not see games out, but you can’t complain about that this year.”

The League Two meeting with the Dons was a game in hand for sides after the original fixture scheduled for earlier in the month was postponed due to international call-ups.

Catching up with the rest of the league, Way could only praise his side’s league position come full-time.

“We have to look at our league position,” he said. “To be in the top six you have to be pleased with that.

“It was a great finish for the goal, I told the front four it would need something special from them and they delivered.

“To get that equaliser was so important when you look at our position in the table now.”
