The Glovers enjoyed a pleasant month of transfer dealings, bringing in seven new faces and retaining the services of key players Omar Sowunmi and Otis Khan despite receiving bids.

Following that boost and fresh from picking up a first win of 2018 in midweek with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Grimsby Town, the Glovers are now looking for back-to-back wins at home to Cambridge United this weekend (3pm).

Speaking to iFollow Glovers, the Town boss is looking forward to the rest of the season.

“When you look at the team’s attacking threat it’s very dangerous. Green has bundles of pace and Browney (Rhys Browne) is back in now.

“You’ve got Khan and then strikers of Zoko, Surridge, Seager and Fisher which we haven’t had before, so it’s nice to have that stability and strength in depth.

“I want to make sure the players take responsibility of where we go between now and the end of the season.”

Overall, Yeovil had just four outgoings in January as loanees Sid Nelson, Keston Davies, Olufela Olomola and Matt Worthington returned to their parent clubs.

With competition for places across the pitch, Way is delighted to have added to the squad and retained the services of his key players.

“We’ve made one or two signings for the future of the football club which I’ve not been able to do before.

“I think we’ve got a good squad with real strength in depth,” he said. “We’ve now got the excitement of the second half of the season knowing we’ve kept the core of the squad together.”
