Unbeaten since the opening day of the season, Town’s thumping 4-0 win at Notts County was sandwiched between two draws at Huish Park.

Sitting healthily in 12th place in Sky Bet League Two, the green and whites welcome a so far undefeated Boro side on Saturday.

Looking to build on the 0-0 draw with Oldham in midweek Way is calling on his players to keep delivering consistent performances.

“It’s about consistency, he told iFollow Glovers. “I’ve said to players that I need them to be consistent performers.

“Reputation is everything in football and supporters only remember your last game so it’s important that every game, they’re putting in consistent performances.

“It’s been a very tough start with the teams we’ve come up against but I feel the players are equipped to handle tough games now.

“We’ve had it on two occasions where we’ve been under pressure for 10-15 minutes but not conceded. As much as I’m disappointed to not score, it’s a good base to not concede and everyone has played a massive part in that.

There’s still massive room for improvement but I feel as a football club we’re going in the right direction.”

At home for the second time in a week, Town will be looking to record a first win of the season on home soil.

Impressed by the vocal backing from supporters so far in 2018/19, Town’s boss is full of praise for the Glovers faithful.

“I don’t know who the individual is who’s brought a drum back to the football club but I’d like to personally thank whoever it is because the noise excites the players and they can feel the supporters behind them.

“To get supporters to sing the players’ names shows the players are doing something right,” he continued.

“Sessi (D’Almedia) leads by example – every morning when I wake up at the moment my little girl mentions Sessi’s name because even she is excited to see the energy and enthusiasm he showing because fans appreciate that.”
