The Glovers have won all eight of their points at home this season courtesy of two wins and two draws in an unbeaten start at Huish Park.

However, Town have suffered three consecutive away defeats in Sky Bet League Two as they prepare to take on the Mariners this weekend.

Looking to arrest their away form, Way has looked at every aspect of playing away from home.

He told iFollow Glovers: “We’ve talked about our preparation even down to the detail of what we’re eating, when we stop, how long we’re on the bus and what time we get up in the morning.

“We’re doing everything we can to make sure our preparation can’t be an excuse.

“We have to make sure we’re confident and play the way we play well. We’ve got attacking players so it’s up to us to make sure we’re an attacking threat.

“Regardless, we need to come up with a solution that picks up points.”

Way will come up against a familiar face in former Town boss Russell Slade, who is taking charge of his first full season at Blundell Park having arrived in April.

Ahead of a second trip to Grimsby in his managerial career, Way is aware of the threats they’ll pose.

“They’re a good team, but very physical,” he said. “I had Russ as my manager here so I know the way he gets his team to play.

“We know their strengths but at the same time know their weaknesses, so it’s important we try to capitalise on those weaknesses.

“We’ve done our homework and put a lot of work in on the training ground, so it’s important the players trust and believe in the system we’re playing.”

Tickets for the trip to Blundell Park remain on sale online and via the Huish Park ticket office either in person or by calling 01935 847888.
