The Glovers have taken to the field away from home in the last three fixtures, returning to Somerset with an impressive seven-point haul.

Fresh from the 6-2 demolition of Coventry City on Easter Monday, manager Darren Way is looking forward to enjoying home comforts when Nathan Jones’ Hatters visit and insists the opening day defeat to Luton will play no part in preparation.

“It’s good to be back at home. It’s where you want to play games, in front of your home supporters and we should have a good crowd.

“It’s not about revenge, it’s going to be about focusing on the performance. Everyone wants to mention revenge but for us it’s about getting the focus right. The majority were not involved in that game and we’re off the back of some very, very good results and good performances so that’s built big, big confidence.

“We’re at the back end of the season now where we’ve had a long time to work with these players and they know what my principles are, what the team principles are and have put that into place on a consistent basis.”

Having named an unchanged starting lineup in the last two outings, Town have no fresh injury concerns heading into this weekend’s action.

Only missing five through injury, Way told iFollow Glovers that competition for places is high.

“We’ve got numbers,” he said. “I had to leave three out of the squad on Monday and it wasn’t easy, they’re good players and good lads but unfortunately, as manager, you’ve got to make decisions to win football matches.

“Every training session they have they’re under our decision making as to whether they play, so what they do in build up is important. The ones not performing will be left out and I’m not saying they’ve not been performing but those performing to a higher level will get the nod.”
