The green and whites were unable to call upon eight players due to injury and suspension last week, forcing a reshuffle that saw Yoann Arquin start as an unorthodox central defender and Rhys Browne complete 80 minutes at right-back.

Managing to see of Cambridge United 1-0, Way has received a further boost going into this weekend’s important meeting with the Shrimps.

Defender Tom James has served his four-match suspension and becomes eligible once again whilst Omar Sowunmi will be considered for selection for the first time since September after narrowly missing out on a recall to the matchday squad seven days ago.

“Omar was very close on Saturday,” Way said. “I had a lot of resistance from the medical department. A lot of resistance. It’s important when someone has got a role and a responsibility that you make them accountable. I trust the medical department.”

Also returning to Huish Park is full-back Josh Grant who returned to parent club Chelsea for treatment on an ankle injury.

Missing the last month’s action, the 20-year-old has been back in training to give Town’s manager real options.

“We’ve got Josh Grant who’s back from Chelsea now training with us. All I can say is that we’ve got a lot of players on the training ground. We’ve got enough for two teams, and that’s massive.

“It boosts performances and it boosts confidence. Even just the challenge of going up against an opponent in training every day where you know they’ve got the quality to play in the first team, that’s good.”
