The Bees sit two points outside the Sky Bet League Two play-offs after an unbeaten run of seven matches.

Striker John Akinde is league’s second top scorer with 15 goals and Way is wary of his presence in a strong Barnet outfit.

“They pose a different threat to Crawley and MK Dons. They’re very, very physical,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel.

“Akinde can cause problems and it’s important we do our homework with him, especially with (Alex) Lacey and (Nathan) Smith on how they deal with him because he is a big threat.

“I went to watch them against Plymouth the other week and they got men behind the ball, hit Plymouth on the counter-attack and before you know it they’re 2-0 up.

“They’ll want to kick on and keep their momentum going, like we do.

“The players have got to handle that physical aspect. However, they like a challenge and they’ll be up for it.”

Back in April, Town edged out Barnet in a seven-goal thriller at the Hive thanks to a last-gasp winner from Harry Cornick.

The Glovers found themselves 3-1 behind just after the hour but goals from Matty Dolan, Nathan Smith, Francois Zoko and Cornick turn the match on its head.

“It was the most entertaining game for me as a manager,” Way said.

“To see the supporters were at that away game.. that was phenomenal scenes.

“I really did enjoy it – it was amazing.”
