Seventy four hardy souls set off from Huish Park this morning on the "Back from Boro" Charity Bike ride.

Waved off by manager Gary Johnson the riders will first have to undertake the long bus ride up to Middlesbrough where they are scheduled to arrive at around 5.30 pm.

Then a meal and an early night before the first stage of roughly 75 miles to Leeds.

Day two will be from Leeds to Nottigham, Day three Nottingham to Stratford -on-Avon, Day four Stratford-on-Avon to Bath and Day five of what will have been a 330 odd mile trip will see the riders leave Bath and head for Huish Park with an expected arrival time of 10.00, but we will try and up date you on that on Saturday.

Finally those that are still standing are expected to be presented to the crowd before the final Championship match against Middlesbrough.

The ride is hoped to raise upwards of £50,000 for the three charities of Prostate Cancer UK, St.Margarets Hospice and The Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust.

Media assistant James Healey is amongst the intrepid gang and he will be putting regular updates, stories and pictures on this web site every evening…energy levels permitting!

Good luck to you all from everybody at the club.
