31st December 2018

Having picked up a point at promotion chasing Tranmere Rovers on Saturday the green and whites will look to end their winless run when the Robins visit.

Boasting three draws and five losses in the league since the 1-0 win at Carlisle United, Darren Way’s side will be keen to kick-start the year with a win at home.

Last time out at Huish Park Yoann Arquin scored a goal of the season contender to secure a dramatic draw with Northampton with the West Country clash on Tuesday sure to be an entertaining affair.

Michael Duff’s side make the short trip to Somerset in good form and unbeaten in their last five.

The Gloucestershire outfit drew 2-2 with Forest Green Rovers at the weekend having fought back from 2-0 down.

Taking on the in-form Robins, Town will have to do so without Omar Sowunmi (ankle), James Bailey (knee), Alex Pattison (back), Gabby Rogers (ankle), Wes McDonald (hamstring) and Diallang Jaiyesimi (knee).

Short-term loanees Omari Patrick and Olufela Olomola are both available for selection, with Nathan Baxter and Enes Mahmutovic on season-long loans at Huish Park.

Head-to-head
Tuesday will see the 16th competitive meeting between the two sides since 2002.

With five wins, five draws and five losses apiece, either side could edge ahead in the head-to-head record.

The Glovers were unbeaten in their two meetings in 2017/18, drawing 0-0 at home before Omar Sowunmi and Jordan Green confirmed a 2-0 win in the reverse fixture.

Officials
Trevor Kettle will be the man in the middle.

His 26th game of the season it’ll be his second involving Town after overseeing the 0-0 draw against Exeter City in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Mr Kettle will be assisted by Steven Plane and Samuel Ogles with Marc Whaley acting as fourth official.
