Yeovil Town return to National League action on Tuesday to face Bromley FC.

After sitting out on Saturday, Yeovil will be feeling fresh and ready when they travel to South London.

The hosts will be out for revenge as the Glovers dumped Bromley out the FA Cup in early November thanks to Gabby Rogers last gasp strike.

Darren Sarll’s thoughts

Speaking to the media ahead of Tuesday’s clash, Darren Sarll reflected on Yeovil’s challenging start to the season; “We keep feeling like we’re getting to a point where we’re going forward, then the injuries just absolutely kill us.

“What we originally thought was the right shape for the players we had available, is not the right shape for another group of players.

“It’s always trying to fit the right players into the right shape and mould that we have available.”

Team news

In his press conference, Sarll confirmed that Josh Staunton will once again be set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury against Eastleigh.

Long-term absentee Lee Collins remains a doubt and loanee Alex Bradley is also unavailable for Tuesday evening’s match.

A foot in the opposition camp

Currently this campaign is the Ravens sixth season within the fifth tier of English football after achieving promotion from the Conference South in 2015.

Neil Smith began his managerial career with Woking back in March 2007 taking the role of joint caretaker manager alongside Graham Baker, following the departure of Glenn Cockerill, helping the club to stay in the Conference National.

He joined Bromley in February 2016, where Smith originally took over the role on an interim basis. On 4th April, after a successful run of games, Smith signed a two-year contract to become the club’s new first-team manager.

Michael Cheek is the star man for Bromley. The 27-year-old striker is a seasoned performer at National League level, having made his name at Heybridge Swifts, before moving on to Chelmsford City. After a successful one and a half season spell with the Clarets, which saw him score 35 goals in 66 appearances, he made the move to Braintree Town. Cheek remained with the Iron for two seasons, scoring 42 goals in 98 games.
