19th January 2018

Jack Lester’s side head to Somerset on Saturday (3pm) looking to stop the Glovers making it four games unbeaten in all competitions.

Francois Zoko joined Otis Khan at the top of the club’s scoring charts last weekend as Town came away from Port Vale with a 1-1 draw, a result adding to consecutive wins at home.

Both Bradford City and Forest Green Rovers were dispatched in the space four days, as Yeovil enjoyed a resurgence in form after a mixed December.

Doing so without quartet Rhys Browne (ankle), Oscar Gobern (hamstring), James Bailey (knee) and Dan Alfei (knee), the Green & Whites will continue to operate with a bare 18-man squad.

Although stretched in terms of numbers, the Glovers will be looking to record the double over Chesterfield, after winning 3-2 at the Proact Stadium.

Darren Way will be without two of his scorers on that day, with Bailey injured and Olufela Olomola now back at parent club Southampton.

The Spireites head to Huish Park after an impressive 2-0 victory over league leaders Luton Town.

Jak McCourt grabbed his fifth of the season in the win over the Hatters, moving into second behind top scorer Kristian Dennis (13 goals).

The Derbyshire outfit also boast two former Glovers in their ranks, with Sid Nelson likely to line up in blue after donning Green & White in the first half of the season as well as striker Gozie Uwgu.

Head-to-head
The Glovers have won four of the 10 encounters, drawing three.

September’s victory was the first in three, with Town’s last win at home to Chesterfield coming back in 2012 thanks to strikes from Dominic Bleazard, Kieran Agard and Andy Williams in a 3-2 win.

Only one of the previous 10 encounters has ended goalless.

Officials
Kevin Johnson (Somerset) will be the man in the middle on Saturday.

This weekend will be Mr Johnson’s second visit to Huish Park this season, having taken charge of Town’s penalty shootout victory over Chelsea Under-21s in the Checkatrade Trophy back in October.

Christoper Kidd (Oxfordshire) and Robert Dabbs (Dorset) will be his assistants, with Adrian Quelch (Dorset) acting as fourth official.
