25th August 2017

Southampton loanee Olufela Olomola continued his fine form of the previous week against Accrington Stanley with an early goal to take his tally in Green and White to three, before Otis Khan netted from the spot – his second of the season.

Forward Francois Zoko added a third for the Glovers, and now sits seventh on Yeovil’s all-time EFL goalscorers list, one behind Dean Bowditch and Andy Williams.

Manager Darren Way stated his intention to bring in reinforcements to strengthen his backline after the game, and brought in defender Sid Nelson from Millwall on Monday.

The 21-year-old, who boasts a healthy amount of Championship action on his CV, is in line to make his debut against Coventry City this weekend.

Mark Robins’ side began the campaign in fine fashion with two wins from two and no goals conceded.

That sequence concluded at home to Newport County last week.

Before that, youngster Jodi Jones had showed off his talents – especially in the season opener by scoring a hat-trick – while Michael Doyle and Stuart Beavon offer great experience.

Last year’s Checktrade Trophy winners are expected to win promotion back to League One at the first time of asking.

Head-to-head
All three of Town’s meetings with Coventry in Somerset have ended in draws.

The Sky Blues first visited Huish Park in 2012, where a 21st-minute Richard Hinds strike cancelled out an early Cody McDonald goal.

Yeovil’s last two matches against the Warwickshire outfit have finished 0-0.

Officials
Martin Coy will be the man in the middle this weekend.

Both of Mr. Coy’s league matches this season have been in League Two.

The Durham-born official refereed 25 games last season, the majority in the National League, dishing out 84 yellows and one red.

Coy has never officiated a Yeovil match.

He will be assisted by Steven Plane (Worcestershire) and Robert Dabbs (Dorset) with Christopher Kidd (Oxfordshire) acting as fourth official.
