Steve Phillips

Steve Phillips arrived at Huish Park in August 2017.

Initially working with Town's Academy, the 39-year-old took on the Head of Goalkeeping role for the whole club in early September, which coincided with becoming part of manager Darren Way's first-team staff.

Having made over 620 Football League appearances throughout a nearly two-decade career, Phillips is currently enjoying his first dedicated coaching role.

Featuring over 250 times for Bristol City and making more than 130 appearances for Bristol Rovers, the Somerset-born 'keeper enjoyed goalkeeper coach responsibilities at Crewe Alexandra whilst still being a part of the Railwaymen's squad from 2012 to 2014.

Helping to bring through young stopper Ben Garratt at Gresty Road, Phillips is now working with Artur Krysiak, Jonny Maddison and Tommy Scott at Huish Park, as well as the various Academy age groups.

Having twice won promotion from Sky Bet League Two as well as lifting the Football League Trophy, Phillips will be hoping to pass on his experience to all goalkeepers currently associated with Yeovil Town.
