Team GB Paralympian Giles Moore, who is a keen Glovers supporter, has spent time with Darren Way and the squad ahead of travelling to Rio next week.
 

Giles, who lives in Ilminster, will link up with his team-mates next week before travelling to Brazil for what will be his first Paralympic Games.

 

The 19-year-old was named Best Goalkeeper at the 2014 CPISRA European Championships in Maia, Portugal and will now aim to help Team GB improved on their seventh-place finish at London 2012.

 

The Town supporter was awarded a home shirt to take to Brazil, and spent several hours with Darren Way and the squad as they prepared for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two match against Doncaster.

 

Giles also took part in the goalkeeper’s training session alongside Artur Krysiak, Jonny Maddison and goalkeeper coach Sam Shulberg before enjoying lunch with the team.

 

Speaking ahead of his trip to South America and after enjoying some time at Huish Park, Giles said: “Being able to meet everyone at the club was amazing because I’m a life time supporter who travels home and away to matches.

 

“It was fantastic to be able to train alongside the team, they presented me with a signed shirt with ‘Rio 2016’ on the back which I’m absolutely chuffed with. I’m going to frame it and hang it alongside my other shirts.

 

“It’s such a great club where everyone knows each other which creates a footballing family. I would like to thank everyone at Yeovil Town FC for a brilliant morning especially Darren, Terry and Sam for making me very welcome and wishing me best for Rio.”

 

Everyone at Yeovil Town Football Club wishes Giles and the rest of the Team GB Paralympic seven-a-side squad the best of luck in Rio, and look forward to seeing Giles at Huish Park on his return from Brazil.
