Swansea City defender Alan Tate has been ruled out for six to eight weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury while on loan at Yeovil Town.

A scan this week confirmed Tate has suffered a grade two hamstring injury, and the clubs have agreed for the 31-year-old to return to the Swans for treatment and the recovery process.

Tate, who is on loan at the Glovers until January 2, has featured six times for Gary Johnson’s side this season – four appearances coming in the Championship.
