30th December 2015

Before the Oxford United game at Huish Park, Glovers fan Matt Chown began a four hour cycle challenge to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Situated outside the ticket office and using a static turbo trainer, Matt cycled for four hours none stop.

Supporters had the opportunity to pay £1 to guess how many miles he would cover in this time. He managed to cover a mammoth 100.52 miles with an average speed exceeding 25mph.

The supporters who were closest  to miles he covered were.

Glyn Cooper winning  a signed football

Russ Dymond winning a signed shirt &

John Milton winning a hospitality package for 2.

Our sincere thanks and congratulations to Matt Chown for this marvelous fund raising idea for what is a fantastic cause.

During the half time interval the draw was made for the Bike that was very kindly donated by Tri UK of Yeovil.

The winning number picked out by Matt Chown was number 173. This was later claimed by Yeovil Town Fan Mike Stone who gratefully took the bike home with him after the game.

Our sincere thanks go to all the supporters who contributed to the raffle along with special thanks to Chris Boon for donating such a marvelous prize and to Fred Hopkins who represented Tri UK on the pitch at half time.

Matt has now raised over £600 towards a minimum target of £1000.
