Joining for his first spell in the summer of 2017, Olomola spent the first half of the season in Somerset with the Glovers on loan from Southampton.

After a prolific spell in green and white the 21-year-old returned to his parent club before signing for Scunthorpe ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

Linking up with Darren Way’s side for a second spell on deadline day at the end of August, the fans’ favourite re-opened his account in the 6-0 drubbing last weekend at Newport County.

Feeling the difference within the dressing room, Olomola told iFollow Glovers: “I think there’s a lot more desire, hunger and togetherness in this team.

“For me, that’s the biggest change. Of course there’s quality but for me, it’s the way that we work for each other and the way we’re so together and are a team.

“I think with the gaffer here he wants this type of team; in a way I’m not really surprised because I thought eventually he would get it.

“These are the type of players that he wanted and its taken time but he’s managed to get that now. I think it’s all gelling into place and I’m just happy to be a part of it.”

The Glovers attack has been in scintillating form this season scoring 15 goals in seven matches, the third highest in the league with a game in hand on the teams with more.

Goals have been coming from all across Town’s wide selection of attackers and the loanee is relishing the competition for places in the front line.

“As you can see, the standard of attackers we’ve got this year is unbelievable. I think it just pushes everyone just a bit more because you can’t afford to slip up.

“There are players there that are more than capable of doing the job so it’s important to be on it every single day and when you get the chance you have to perform.”
