The 35-year-old played 90 minutes in Tuesday’s night defeat at Oldham Athletic, which condemned the green and whites to a fifth straight defeat.

Facing a trip to promotion-chasing Forest Green Rovers this weekend, Darren Way’s side will look for a return to winning ways.

Speaking on the mood in the camp, Zoko told iFollow Glovers: “We don’t go and feel sorry for ourselves, we have a job to do – stay in the league. So we are focused, working and trying to do better than what we are doing.

“We are human. When you are not that confident you are going to make some mistakes, this is football, it is normal. Now we have to be calm and cool from now until the end of the season.”

The Ivorian is yet to register a goal this season, but insists that he is ready to change that and has nothing to hold him back now.

“My fitness is 100% now and people expect me to score goals and do better, so this is what I’m looking for now. Fitness-wise I do not have any excuses now I’m fully fit, so I’m looking forward to doing something as a team and trying to finish the season better.

“We need me to score goals, we need my goals and this year we have not had them. It’s been a very strange season for me so far with injury, I used to recover and come back quicker but now it takes a little bit of time so it’s quite strange and I have to adapt, but I think now is not too late.”

Speaking on this weekend’s opponents, Zoko said: “We do our own work like everyone. We watch the games so we know they’re going to come for us, but we’re expecting that and we’re going for the points.

“We need points and we will do our best to get them, but I think we don’t have to think too much, we just have to be calm and do our thing. We’re going to go there and try to fix the things that didn’t go right before.”
