Yeovil Town Football Club is in a partnership with Yeovil College to provide an outstanding football player development pathway for the YTFC first team. The College trains players to help meet their footballing potential as a profession, or before they go to university or a scholarship in the USA.

Players will be coached by Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) qualified coaches, they will receive strength and conditioning support and support on education options available.

Players will be involved in a trial match to potentially participate in matches on a weekly basis.

YTFC will be hosting trials for male players aged 16-18 years at Huish Park 3G Pitch on Wednesday 1st June 2016.

Matt Hann, Curriculum Area Manager for Sport, said ‘This is a fantastic partnership that exists to help nurture the talent of players who may be late developers or who have missed out on a scholarship at a professional football club.

Players will join the YTFC Elite Player Development pathway which seeks to produce players for the YTFC men’s first team. Over the past two seasons, players have been selected to train with coaches Darren Way and Terry Skiverton with the men’s 1st team. This really is an excellent opportunity for talented footballers.’

Successful players will join Yeovil College to become a learner on the YTFC scheme.
