Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of Adi Yussuf on a free transfer following his release from Blackpool.

An experienced forward, Yussuf has enjoyed spells in the Football League and possesses a prolific record at National League level, especially with Solihull Moors where he netted 26 goals across two seasons with the club.

Last season, whilst contracted to Blackpool, the 29-year-old spent the season on loan in the National League with both Wrexham & Chesterfield, finding the back of the net on eight occasions.

A full international, Yussuf has represented his native Tanzania on two occasions, making his debut in 2019 against Zimbabwe in Cairo, Egypt.

Despite being primarily a no.9, Yussuf has many strings to his bow, and can operate across a forward line on either flank.

Speaking to ytfc.net after signing, Yussuf said; “I’m really excited, I can’t wait to play in front of all the fans.

“We’ve got a good squad here that should be competing so I’m looking forward to it,” added the front man.

“The gaffer (Darren Sarll) was in contact a few weeks ago and we’ve spoken throughout the summer, he was really good to me and now I’m finally here!”

When asked about how he would describe himself as a player, Yussuf said; “I like to score goals, put myself about and work hard.

“Just doing what I need to do for the team.”

Welcome to Somerset, Adi!
