Everybody at Yeovil Town is saddened to hear of the loss of Jimmy Quinn.

Jimmy was the club’s resident comedian and a recognisable face to all around Huish Park.

During our 2013 League One play-off campaign, Jimmy recorded our official song with players and staff, which can be watched above.

Outside of the football club, Jimmy was a well-known face all around the town and beyond, as an excellent stand-up comedian and compere. Jimmy previously hosted at events for the likes of George Best, Ian Botham and Geoff Hurst.

Terry Skiverton, who knew Jimmy well said; “I just wanted to write this message to talk about some of my fond memories of Jimmy. As long as I’ve been at the club Jimmy has been a massive part of it.

“I’ll always have great memories after winning trophies and championships, Jimmy would be holding court, hosting the after parties and always being the life and soul of them.

“Every time he ventured to Huish Park, Jimmy was taking the mickey out of all the players and staff, all-in good-natured fun and lifting the spirits of all around him.

“Jimmy is embedded into not just the football club, but the town itself, by all he is known as a family man who gave his life to putting a smile on the face of others, he will be truly missed by all.”

Jimmy will be sorely missed by all those at Yeovil Town Football Club. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
