Yeovil Town picked up three points away at Blackpool thanks to goals from James Hayter and Tom Lawrence.
In the early stages of the first half the hosts were the first to test the goalkeeper. Striker David Goodwillie found himself in the box with only Dunn to beat, but the shot stopper gathered the striker’s chance easily.
At the other end Town’s first chance fell to Liam Davis on the edge of the area, but the wingers first time volley went narrowly over the Blackpool crossbar.
With 15 minutes on the clock Town had a corner on the right after Grants cut in and had his shot blocked.
When the corner came in a Blackpool defender handled in the area and referee Langford had no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Hayter stepped up confidently and buried the ball home from 12 yards.
Hayter, who was leading the line well, won a header on the half way line to set Davis free on the left. The winger beat McMahon for pace, only to see his powerful shot well save by Gilks in the Blackpool goal.
Three minutes into the second half the hosts had goalkeeper Gilks to thank for keeping the score line at 1-0. The shot stopper denied a Grant volley and then Mackenzie threw himself in front Shane Duffy shot that was heading for the back of the net.
Just minutes later Blackpool striker Goodwillie found himself with the freedom of Blackpool inside the Town area, but the Scotsman somehow fired his shot over the bar.
Town doubled their lead on 74 minutes just when the home side were getting on top. A superb run on the right wing by Luke Ayling saw him cross to Hayter, the former Doncaster man let the ball run across him to the surging Lawrence, who made no mistake is putting the ball past Gilks to make 2-0.
The home side pulled a goal back less than five minutes later when substitute Grandin thundered the ball home from distance to set up a nervy last ten minutes.
Despite the pressure Town held strong to pick up three vital points.
