Darren Way’s side require just one more point to guarantee their place in Sky Bet League Two next season.

The Glovers sit six points ahead of the drop zone, eight goals better off than second from bottom Hartlepool United with two matches remaining.

Town will play in front of their home supporters for the final time this campaign on Saturday (3pm) and will be hoping for a similar performance to their last outing at Huish Park against Crewe Alexandra on Easter Monday.

Matty Dolan curled home an excellent free kick to set the ball rolling before Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro grabbed his first for the club.

Otis Khan assisted both goals before rounding off a perfect afternoon with an effort of his own.

While Town want points to finish off the job, Stevenage will be looking for three points in Somerset to strengthen their play-off ambitions.

After a run of just one loss in 13 games which saw them flirt with the automatic promotion spots, Darren Sarll’s outfit have suffered three defeats in four and have slipped to seventh in the table – a point above Mansfield Town who they lost to last Saturday.

Previously hot in front of goal, the Hertfordshire side have scored just twice this month.

Top goalscorer Matt Godden has missed the last two fixtures and failed to net in the four games previous.

However, the 25-year-old has 20 league goals to his name and will be the focal point to Stevenage’s attack if selected.

Northern Ireland Under-21 international Ben Kennedy will also prove a handful. The youngster netted twice against the Glovers last time out and has a total of nine for the season.

Head-to-head

Yeovil are unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions against Stevenage (W2 D3).

The run stretches back to 2013 where the Glovers ran out 2-0 winners at Broadhall Way thanks to goals from Sam Foley and James Hayter.

Town’s most memorable victory over Boro came in the 2002 FA Trophy final. The Green and Whites took the lead at Villa Park through Carl Alford before Town legend Adam Stansfield grabbed a second to secure the club’s first ever triumph in the competition.

Last time out, Ben Whitfield’s last-gasp finish earned the Glovers a draw on the road.

Ryan Hedges’ second-half strike was cancelled out by Ben Kennedy and the Boro midfielder added a second before Whitfield rescued a point.

Referee

Graham Horwood will take charge of his 31st game of the season at Huish Park.

Mr Horwood has awarded 113 yellow cards this year and has issued six red cards.

The Bedfordshire-born has officiated two Town matches in League Two – the Glovers 3-0 home defeat to Blackpool and the recent away loss to Portsmouth.

He will be assisted by Adam Bromley (Devon) and Ravel Cheoslaua (Worcestershire) with John Farries (Oxfordshire) acting as fourth official.
