Yeovil Town are back in SkyBet League Two action this coming Saturday at Huish Park when they host Stevenage with a 3pm kick off.

The Glovers are hoping that two positive results in cup competitions will rub off in the league and progress up the table.

Last Sunday, Yeovil progressed into the second round of the FA Cup with an impressive win over Maidstone United.

The poor quality 3G pitch was only the start of the problems, as both Jakub Sokolik and Artur Krysiak saw red for different incidents. Sokolik remains suspended but Krysiak is available for selection again.

Despite having just nine men, a single Wes Fodgen goal was enough to progress into Round Two where Yeovil will meet… today’s opponents, Stevenage, in early December.

Then, just 48 hours later, Yeovil progressed through to the Southern Section Semi Finals of the JPT with a win over League One side Gillingham.

Harry Cornick scored the only Glovers goal inside the 90 minutes, but following an equaliser the game went to penalties.

Yeovil converted all of their five; Connor Roberts netting the all-important fifth spot kick to seal the win.

As for Stevenage, their away form is pretty poor this season, of their eight games on the travel the Boro have won none, drawing four and losing four.

Their last game, the FA Cup first round saw them demolish Gillingham 3-0 but prior to that, it hasn’t all been going quite so smoothly.

A 5-1 defeat to Oxford was the last result they had in the league and that came off the back of a loss to cash-strapped Northampton and a draw at Plymouth.

Manager Teddy Sheringham has revealed that Goalkeeper Jesse Joronen will be missing for 4-6 weeks following his substitution late in the game at Gillingham.

The other man sure to be missing is Michael Tonge who will sit out due to suspension.

As for Yeovil, the fitness of the returning players Ben Tozer, Omar Sowunmi and Ryan Dickson will continue to be monitored as Paul Sturrock has said that he doesn’t want to push players through too much too quickly after having little to no training.

Elsewhere, Josh Sheehan and George Thomas are both away on international duty and will miss the game.

Two positive results has got the players buzzing again and transferring that form into the league is the number one priority.

You can be there on Saturday, see below for all the ticket details and follow the Glovers as they return to Huish Park with new vigour and returning squad members.

Last time we met

Yeovil and Stevenage have a long and colourful past crossing each other at just about every level from League One to non league and will meet in the middle, in League Two this Saturday.

The last meeting was during the 2012/13 season where Yeovil gained promotion to the Championship.

In April of the season, a 2-0 win at Broadhall Way saw the Glovers secure their play-off spot.

Goals from James Hayter and a fantastic effort from Sam Foley did the damage even if the away side had Dan Burn sent off for two bookable offences deep into added time.

Earlier the same season, the result was very different with a 3-1 Stevenage win in November.

Paddy Madden had scored an early equaliser but goals in the second half from Lucas Akins and James Dunne meant the result went the way of ‘Boro.

Possibly the most famous meeting of the two sides came back in 2002 when the sides played off in the FA Trophy final at Villa Park.

Yeovil won the game 2-0 thanks to goals from Carl Alford and Adam Stansfield helped the Glovers lift the trophy and begin an excellent decade of success.

In goal that day was Chris Weale, who thirteen years later, could once against take his place in the same fixture.
