Yeovil Town are back in SkyBet League One action this Saturday as the Glovers host high flying MK Dons.

The Glovers entertain the recently formed side with a 3:00pm kick off and will be hoping to channel the recent home results to get past the disappointment of last week.

Last weekend a 2-0 away defeat at Crawley was a disappointment and after beating one promotion candidate, Peterborough, on their last home outing will be hoping for another strong home performance.

Yeovil have only lost once at home in the league this season and that was way back on the opening day of the season.

As for MK Dons, they too are looking to bounce back from defeat, they lost in a top-of-table-clash against Bristol City.

It was a five goal thriller and despite City coming through as 3-2 winners, former Glover Dean Bowditch got on the scoresheet along side this season’s star man, Benik Afobe.

Afobe is now into double figures already this season and as the leading marksman of the league’s top scorer he will be considered a real threat.

MK Dons have already scored 23 in the league this season, a figure which includes putting six past Crewe and five past Barnsley.

When you add on the four they scored against Manchester United in the League Cup we can be sure they know where the goal is. In fact, the Dons’ 0-0 draw with Coventry in August was the only time they have failed to find the net.

On a more positive note for the Glovers, two of three defeats that the Dons have suffered have come away from home.

Those defeats have come against Bristol City on Saturday as well as two sides that Yeovil have already conquered, Bradford and Peterborough.

More positivity comes in the way of the team news at Huish Park.  James Berrett and James Hayter made surprising returns to the squad on Saturday following lengthy spells on the side lines with injury.

Simon Gillett is the remaining key injury concern and it’s hoped he’ll be available sooner rather than later even if this Saturday comes around too quickly.

Elsewhere, the Glovers have Calvin Brooks out on loan at Weymouth while Sam Hoskins continues his positive start to his temporary stay with Conference leaders Barnet.

Unfortunately, Ben Nugent did miss Saturday’s loss with an injury and Keiffer Moore was forced off in the first half with a hamstring problem, both are hoping to be back to full fitness and available on Saturday.

For the Dons, they have a new player in their squad, Carl Baker has joined following his departure from Coventry.

Previous meetings have followed a rather strange pattern with each side gaining a victory before letting the other return the favour.

As with most of League One opposition, Yeovil didn’t play MK Dons last season but the season before saw a Paddy Madden double secure the points at Huish Park, that was after a 1-0 Dons win at Stadium MK.

The season before saw the same pattern continue; Gavin Williams scored in a 1-0 win away, while the reverse score line gave the Dons the points at Huish Park.

The exchange of wins goes right back to a 1-0 win for Yeovil at Huish Park back in 2010 – Shaun MacDonald scoring the only goal.

If the pattern continues this Saturday, the game will end with a Dons win, but of course, these patterns are set to be broken and history books ripped up if Gary Johnson and his men have any say over it.

You can still get your place at Huish Park for the game in all the usual ways, visit the ground and ticket office is person, call the ticket hotline and of course use the online ticketing system on YTFC.net
