23rd December 2016

Last week’s 2-1 loss to high-flying Carlisle United condemned Town to back-to-back defeats for the first time since October.

However, the Glovers remain in the hunt for a play-off place with just three points them and seventh-placed Cambridge United.

Darren Way could have the luxury of selecting his matchday squad from a full set of players as Matty Dolan (hamstring) and Darren Ward (knee) near full fitness.

Way’s side are in rich form at Huish Park, losing just once in nine matches at Huish Park in all competitions.

Town welcome their nearest League Two opponents Exeter City to Somerset on Monday.

The Grecians have won seven of their 11 matches on the road this season, their latest a 3-1 win over Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road.

Paul Tisdale’s side lie 15th in the division, with the same number goals scored (25) and conceded (26) as Yeovil.

Head-to-head

Yeovil’s last win over Exeter came back in 2011 – a 3-2 with at St James Park.

The side’s have faced each other five times with the Grecians winning three and the other two ending in score draws.

Last time out, Exeter left Huish Park with three points thanks to goals from Ollie Watkins and Jake Taylor.

Referee

Tim Robinson (West Sussex) will take charge of his 21st game of the season on Boxing Day, most of which have been in the Championship.

Mr. Robinson has awarded 94 yellow cards so far this season, issuing five reds, and is yet to officiate a Town match in 2016/17. He was the man in the middle for Yeovil’s 1-1 draw against Carlisle United in the Emirates FA Cup third round replay back in January.

On Monday, Mr. Robinson will be assisted by Ian Cooper (Kent) and David Avent (Northamptonshire) with Adam Bromley (Devon) acting as fourth official.
