Yeovil Town are back in SkyBet League One action this coming Good Friday when they host Chesterfield at Huish Park with a 3pm kick off.

Firstly, we must tell you that this game has been designated as a ‘Kids For A Quid’ match, click HERE to read about this fantastic offer and click HERE to head to our online ticket purchase facility.

Chesterfield currently sit in the final play off spot just a point ahead of Rochdale lurking in 7th place.

The Spireites are currently leading the pack of seven or eight sides all in the hunt for one place – including Monday’s opponents Fleetwood in 12th, just four points behind.

Yeovil, as we know, remain bottom of the League and with 11 points separating them from safety, it’s not exactly rocket science to suggest only six or seven wins from the remaining matches will be good enough to remain in League One.

The Spireites come to Huish Park off the back of some decent form, winning four of the last six including an impressive win over Bradford on Tuesday.

Yeovil on the other hand have had a free midweek schedule giving Terry Skiverton a full week of training since the defeat to Rochdale last Saturday.

The squad was depleted that day due to international call ups, Joel Grant was away with Jamaica and Swansea loanees Josh Sheehan and Liam Shepherd were with the Welsh Under 21s.

Stephen Kingsley, also on a temporary deal from Swansea was with the Scottish Under 21 squad, but returned to meet up with Yeovil on Saturday morning before the game to be part of the team.

The game ended in a 2-1 win for Rochdale, James Hayter missing a penalty in the first half but making up for that by scoring the solitary Glovers’ goal.

The return of the internationals to the squad will mean that Yeovil are back to their full complement of loanees,  there will be the need for some to miss out as only five are allowed in the match day squad.

The fixture also brings to an end the Huish Park career of loan goalkeeper Scott Loach, the Rotherham ‘keeper has been impressive between the sticks over the last month, playing in six games.

The seventh, and penultimate, game of the initial month comes this Friday, the final game of the spell is on Monday, away at Fleetwood.

For Chesterfield, they are sweating on the fitness of striker Armand Gnaduillet ahead of the game and Manager Paul Cook has suggested that he may make minimal changes saying that the side that put them in their current position deserve the chance to see the season out.

Cook has added goalkeeper Jon Flatt from Wolves on loan and recalled Drew Talbot from a loan spell at Plymouth Argyle to boost the numbers.

The injury concerns at Huish Park once again surround the club captain Joe Edwards, he has been missing for eight of the last nine games and is still a doubt going into the Easter weekend.

Elsewhere it’s just the long term problems that continue to hover over Simon Gillett and Kevin Dawson that are giving the physio team the most headaches.

When the sides met earlier in the season the teams played out a 0-0 draw in South Yorkshire.

The game was the first time Yeovil fans saw Jed Steer, Stephen Arthurworrey and Jordan Clarke.

Before this season, the sides last met during the 2011/12 campaign, drawing 2-2 away but coming through winners in a five goal thriller at Huish Park.

Andy Williams, Kieran Agard and Dominic Blizzard scored that day.

In fact, Chesterfield have only beaten Yeovil once since they first met in the league back in 2005. That defeat was in fact the first meeting, a 3-1 blues’ win at Huish Park.

Since then, the results have alternated between Yeovil wins and Draws.

With the last fixture between the clubs being a draw, the pattern would suggest this Friday’s fixture ends in a Yeovil win.

If you want to see if the pattern continues, you can do by being at Huish Park this Good Friday.
