9th December 2016

The Glovers’ midweek win over League One side MK Dons in the Checkatrade Trophy extended their impressive unbeaten home run to eight.

Darren Way’s side have scored nine goals in two games with their last league match, the 5-0 thrashing of Crawley Town, taking them up to sixth in the table.

Tomorrow’s opponents managerless Barnet are in good form themselves, winning four of their last seven fixtures with the other three matches ending in draws.

The Bees, who sit a point outside the play-off picture, boast the league’s second top scorer in John Akinde who has 15 goals to his name.

Head-to-head

Yeovil have only faced Barnet four times in their history, winning three and drawing one.

Last time out, the Glovers came from behind to edge the Bees in a seven-goal thriller.

With Yeovil 3-1 down just after the hour, goals from Nathan Smith, Francois Zoko and a last-gasp one from Harry Cornick turned the game on its head.

Referee

Kevin Johnson (North Somerset) will take charge of tomorrow’s fixture at Huish Park.

The official took charge of Yeovil’s 4-3 win over Portsmouth in the Checkatrade Trophy, issuing four yellow cards on the night.

In total, Mr Johnson has awarded 44 yellows and one red in 14 matches this season.

Mr Johnson will be assisted by Robert Dabbs (Dorset) and Louis Marks (Hampshire), with Christopher Wade (Hampshire) acting as fourth official.
