Yeovil Town are back in SkyBet League One action this coming Tuesday night as the Glovers head to Yorkshire to face Sheffield United.

The Glovers are hoping to build some momentum from Saturday’s performance and find a first win in four games.

Yeovil drew 1-1 with Swindon at Huish Park at the weekend with the result not doing the performance justice. View Highlights on YouTube by clicking HERE.

It was a welcome boost for the confidence as three defeats in a row prior to the game had seen Yeovil find themselves inside the bottom four for the first time this season.

After a point was added to the tally Yeovil have jumped a little and find themselves in 19th place on 13 points.

That is seven points and crucially 12 places behind Tuesday’s opponents.

The Blades are one place outside of the play-off spots following their win over 10 man Bradford on Saturday.

That game was live on Sky on Saturday evening so the Yeovil management will have had chance to watch the game live after the Swindon fixture came to a conclusion.

It was a 2-0 win for Nigel Clough’s men, with two second half goals from Bob Harris and Marc McNulty put a plucky Bradford side away after the dismissal of the Bantam’s captain.

Prior to the weekend, United have failed to win a league game in October but have found themselves progressing nicely in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and League Cup.A draw against Leyton Orient and defeat to Chesterfield has seen the South Yorkshire side fail to nail down a place in the top six.

The news surrounding Brammal Lane has mainly surrounded off the field matters this past week, but in terms of team news, they have two players who have extended loan deals away from Sheffield with Andy Butler at Walsall and Diego de Girolamo at York on temporary deals ruling them out of the fixture on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Jay McEveley was forced off early in the first half of the Bradford game with a shoulder injury and James Wallace was left out with a calf problem.

For Yeovil, there was a new look to the defence on Saturday as Ryan Inniss, on loan from Crystal Palace, slotted in the side along with the returning Ben Nugent.

With Seth Nana Twumasi on one side and Liam Davis on the other and Artur Krysiak making his comeback the whole defencive five was different to the Port Vale defeat the week before.

James Hayter was the Glovers’ scorer on Saturday notching his second of the season as strike partner Jordy Hiwula gets ever closer to getting off the mark.

When the names of Sheffield United and Yeovil come together it’s only natural to think back to the last time these teams were in the same division.

The teams met four times during the 2012/13 season, twice in the league and twice in the play-offs.

Each side won two of the games; firstly in September 2012 Neil Collins scored the only goal at Huish Park in a 1-0 Blades win.

It seems only fair then that we should return the favour at Brammall Lane, Paddy Madden at the double as Yeovil blitzed away the opposition in a 2-0 win.

When the play-offs drew the two sides together, a 1-0 Sheffield United win in the first leg would lead to quite probably the best ever Yeovil game at Huish Park.

Kevin Dawson scored early on to tie the scores before an 80 minute barrage of Glovers attacks followed. Paddy Madden and Sam Foley both saw opportunities come and go before Ed Upson sent Huish Park into raptures.

His late, late header was the final act in an astonishing game – it sent Yeovil to Wembley and ultimately to the Championship.

Prior to that incredible season it’s also worth noting that Gary Johnson’s second reign as Yeovil manager started in Sheffield, a 4-0 Blades win just 48 hours after his appointment was the learning curve he used to mould his team.

Tickets for the fixture this coming Tuesday are currently available from Huish Park – at the time of writing, Yeovil are waiting on confirmation that tickets will be available on the day.
