26th August 2016

After taking on Premier League outfit Everton in Round Two of the EFL Cup on Tuesday, Yeovil Town return to Sky Bet League Two action this weekend.

Darren Way’s side travel to Doncaster Rovers this Saturday fresh from the trip to Goodison Park which saw Town come away with plenty of plaudits despite the 4-0 defeat.

The Glovers sit in 16th place in League Two with four points, whilst Donny sit in sixth place with seven points, highlighting the competitive nature to the division after just four fixtures.

Yeovil have lost their last two fixtures in England’s fourth division by the margin of just a single goal, having recorded an impressive victory and draw over Notts County and Luton Town respectively in their opening two fixtures.

Having lost on the opening day of the season and failing to make it past Round One of the EFL Cup, Darren Ferguson’s side have since produced two wins and a draw to bolster their league position.

In all five competitive matches in August, Rovers haven’t been involved in a game which has been settled by more than a single goal, indicating another tight affair at the Keepmoat Stadium this Saturday.

But Town will be confident of coming away from South Yorkshire with a victory after adding three players to the squad this week.

Experienced striker Izale McLeod arrived at Huish Park on a free transfer having been released by league rivals Notts County, whilst Bournemouth midfielder Ben Whitfield signed a loan deal which will see him remain in Somerset until January 2017.

Completing the trio of new additions, former Swansea midfielder Kyle Copp – who agreed to join the Glovers two weeks ago – is also available for selection having received international clearance after a lengthy wait.

The history books are in favour of Yeovil having won eight of the 14 competitive fixtures between the two clubs since 2003, although Doncaster have won the last two meetings between the two sides during the 2014/15 season.

Tickets are available to purchase on the day with an adult ticket costing £10 and an under 16’s just £5.
