The TV cameras will be in attendance for the Sky Bet Championship clash that sees Yeovil in 24th take on Rovers in 21st, both sides will be after the points to help in their quest for survival.

Paul Dickov’s men are on a run of form as poor as Yeovil, having failed to win since the 5th of October, their last three games have ended in two defeats and a 0-0 draw against Barnsley.

The Glovers travel north with two league defeats – without scoring – behind them, Wigan took the points at Huish Park and Leeds showed their class in the second half at Elland Road to leave Yeovil empty handed despite two decent performances.

However, the 3-1 win against Nottingham Forest still stands out as proof that when the performance is matched with goals, the results are just around the corner.

The two sides are both missing key men for the game, Rovers’ skipper Rob Jones misses out with a neck injury while Man Utd loanee Federico Macheda is still missing after a promising start.

Meanwhile, Gary Johnson has got a headache in goal; Wayne Hennessey’s loan deal has expired, Marek Stech’s injury isn’t quite ready to test in a match and the man drafted in this week, Stuart Taylor, has had to return to Reading for personal reasons.

So that leaves two obvious options, Chris Dunn could make his debut having played many games, including 45 minutes against Latvia in midweek, for the reserves. Or Gareth Stewart, still with a playing registration, could step in like in previous emergencies.

The history between these two sides could probably justify it’s own article, but to try and sum up we go way back!

Doncaster’s progression has seen them go from Conference to Championship in the last 11 seasons, it is no surprise that the two teams have met many times.

We’ve met in big games at every level, including the day Yeovil confirmed their Conference title and two important results for the Glovers last season.

James Hayter and Gozie Ugwu scored in a 2-1 win at Huish Park while Paddy Madden scored in a 1-1 draw towards the business end of the campaign.

In fact, the last time Doncaster beat Yeovil was in 2004, they have only beaten the green and whites three times in the last 13 meetings.

Gary Johnson has issued a rally cry to his players to play like they are in cup finals and as if their lives depended on it and supporters will be hoping that it begins in the big live clash on Friday night.

Tickets are available on the night in South Yorkshire, but the game is live on Sky for anyone not travelling, while local coverage on radio and social networks will have just about everything covered.

Car enthusiast Jeremy Clarkson, Magician extraordinaire Paul Daniels and Louis Tomlinson, one fifth of One Direction. Tomlinson signed a deal as a Rovers player at the start of the season, but is yet to play for the first team.
